As usual here's another recommendation, if you are feeling the need to get some goodies for the garden and want to take mum and dad for lunch, kill two birds with one stone and take yourselves off to Kings Garden and Leisure on the Hulham Road, just out of Exmouth. Loads of plants, bird tables, seed etc Books,garden furniture and much more. Plus the best restaurant and coffee shop for miles around. Pile on some calories and burn them off in the garden later!!
